James Panko, P.E. Engineer jimp@paulsenarchitects.com Jim Panko’s keen interest in building structural systems led him to purse an emphasis in structural design during his civil engineering education. While completing the engineering program at Minnesota State University, Mankato Jim began working at our firm and in 2004, he joined our firm full-time. In 2008, Jim earned his professional engineering license after successfully passing the Principles and Practice of Engineering Examination. As a member of the Paulsen Architects’ structural engineering team Jim’s responsibilities include calculations of engineering fundamentals, computer engineering analysis, drawing preparations, shop drawing review and project quality control. His civil engineering responsibilities include site grading, water main and sanitary sewer services, storm water drainage, bituminous parking area with concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalks, and erosion control.
Jim is involved in the community as the President-Elect for the Traverse de Sioux Section of Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers, a Practitioner Advisor for the American Society of Civil Engineers, and a volunteer for the Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Civil Engineering Department. Jim is on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement.
