Paulsen Architects’ entire architectural design team now LEED accreditedMANKATO, Minn. (May 01, 2009) — Paulsen Architects, a full-service architecture, engineering, interior design and planning firm based in Mankato, announces that two additional members of the firm have recently earned their Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Professional Accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Bryan Paulsen, AIA, CID, LEED AP and Jeremy Wiesen, Associate AIA, LEED AP earned their accreditation by successfully completing a comprehensive examination on their knowledge and skills in the green building design practice/process and their familiarity with LEED requirements and the building application/certification process. With this completion, one hundred percent of Paulsen Architects’ architectural design team and eighty percent of the firm’s architects, interior designers and project managers are now LEED accredited--continuing Paulsen’s commitment to designing sustainable buildings that are innovative, employ earth-friendly construction techniques and contain green-conscious building materials.
Paulsen has been practicing architecture for 27 years and has earned a distinguished reputation for providing innovative designs for such notable buildings as Hormel’s Spam Museum, St. Peter Community Center, Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Centennial Student Union, Mayo Health System ISJ Clinic – EastRidge, City Center Mankato’s Hilton Garden Inn and Blue Earth County Justice Center which is scheduled to become South Central Minnesota’s first LEED certified building.
