Timpte Trailer

North Mankato, MN

Timpte Trailer, Inc, a semi-trailer sales, service & manufacturing company, relocated their Full Service Branch Facility from Savage, MN to the greater Mankato area. Paulsen Architects was hired to design a prototypical facility, from a standard manufactured metal building, that was unique to the company’s brand and identity which could be used for future corporate facilities.

The new full service office, sales, parts and maintenance building in North Mankato’s industrial park is accessible and conveniently located for most of south central Minnesota’s agricultural businesses. Since the site has a large parking area for the many trailers the company will sell or service, as well as customer and employee parking, a large stormwater retention pond system was required. The pond acts as a buffer for the building between the parking and the highway.

The concrete masonry block exterior has a double “T” pattern for the tenant’s name, while providing a durable material for the trucking company’s building. Windows and skylights provide natural light for the offices and even the maintenance bays The orange color in the company’s logo was used as an accent throughout the building, reinforcing the Timpte brand.
