Chankaska Creek Ranch and Winery

Kasota, MN

The Chankaska Creek Ranch and Winery is located on a former historic farm site in Kasota, Minnesota on a bluff of the Minnesota River. The new two story, 7,500 square foot winery building and retail store is sited on the top of a hill overlooking the farm site and the meandering Chankaska Creek. Remaining historic farm structures are undergoing renovation for future use as event center facilities. The master planning for the 15 acres includes a 10 acre vineyard, trail system, sculpture park, amphitheater and indoor & outdoor event spaces. Multiple paths and bridges going back and forth over the creek create scenic connections to various outdoor venues, while providing a unique identity to each space.

The winery building will house the wine production area and a retail store for sales to the public. In the production area, there are wine presses, fermentation tanks and the Cooperage- the barrel storage area, as well as space for tours, wine testing, special events, and a small stage for musical performances. The upper level retail store overlooks the production floor and will sell wine and other winery themed gifts. The building also has clean room/lab facilities, offices and a catering kitchen.
