- intended before purchase.

HUD Foundation Inspection A professional engineer’s certification is often needed to obtain an FHA or VA loan for the purchase of a manufactured home. The purpose of the engineer’s certification is to ensure that the manufactured home’s foundation meets the requirements of the HUD Permanent Foundation Guide for Manufactured Homes. The licensed, professional engineers at Paulsen Architects can perform an inspection on new or existing manufactured home foundations to determine if the foundation is compliant with the HUD requirements. You might need an engineer’s certification for your manufactured home foundation if:
- You need to obtain FHA or VA financing to purchase a manufactured home.
- You are preparing to sell your manufactured home.
- If the home you are purchasing or selling has had any alterations such as an attached deck since it was last certified.
