Number 4 American Bar & Kitchen

Mankato, MN

The design for Number 4 American Bar & Kitchen, has the ambiance of a 1950’s supper club/pub within a historic Art Deco Building in Downtown Mankato. The finishes used to create the 1950’s feel were: faux leather wall coverings, stainless steel tiles on the fireplace and bar backsplash and fireplace, round leather booths, red velvet curtains, warm amber-colored sconces and pendant lighting fixtures. Other historic finishes included: wrought iron railings, brick walls and dark, heavy millwork and paneling.

Red accents are used throughout the restaurant appearing in the window and booth curtains, carpet, bar seating, accent lighting under the bar and even the candles on the tables and bar.

The space is connected to the downtown streets by a wall of windows to showing the life and activity within the bar and restaurant itself.
