Dulcimer Medical Center

The Dulcimer Medical Center was designed to feel comfortable and relaxing so the patients feel at home while receiving care from the medical staff.

The lobby has massive volume with a lot of natural light. The building interior spaces are situated to overlook the creek and prairie — bringing the outside in and translating it into a soothing and healing space.

Providing daylight through the windows and skylights was important for the patient rooms and for the offices for both the physicians and the nursing staff. To achieve the client’s requested Arts and Crafts/Prairie Style design, the exterior design was incorporated into the interior as well. Natural materials of wood and stone with finishes in soothing colors and organic and flowing patterns were used throughout the building
