Rasmussen College
Multiple Locations
Mankato, Minnesota
Already home to Rasmussen College for many years, a new building was designed to better meet the needs of the growing Mankato community. The new site also gives the campus greater visibility, access from surrounding communities on a major state highway and room for future expansion.
The building features the Rasmussen College’s signature curved metal curtain wall on the exterior and is accented with local limestone at the entry and around the windows.
Student services such the library, lounge and media center are concentrated near the entry, providing ultimate convenience for students. The library and media center are designed for open study groups. The lounge at the back of the school is welcoming, with comfortable furniture and bar height counters, which allows students and faculty to meet in a more informal setting.
New classrooms were designed specifically for the school’s programs in Allied Health, Nursing, Justice Studies, Education, Business, and Technology & Design. Classrooms are also equipped with state-of-the-art technology for each program.
Brooklyn Park, Minnesota
Rasmussen College expanded its growing campus and opened themselves to a new market with a new building in northwestern suburbs Twin Cities. The 26,600 square foot facility houses all of the college’s educational subjects including business, criminal justice, childcare, massage therapy and medical training. The brick clad, steel-stud building features large curved walls in the inner and outer corners of the building. The inner corner of the building is the building’s main entry, which opens up into the student and administrative commons area. The outer corner is a sloped glass curtain wall and is a part of the administrative offices.
Saint Cloud, Minnesota
Paulsen Architects designed both the original 21,300 square foot Rasmussen College facility in St. Cloud as well as the 7,500 square foot addition. The brick-clad masonry building, accented with granite medallions, houses the College’s business, criminal justice, childcare, massage therapy and medical programs.
