Minnesota State University, Mankato Jane Rush Gathering Place

TCreated as a memorial to Jane Rush, the wife of former MSU president Dr. Richard Rush, this structure was designed to establish a sense of place for student and visitor gatherings. Located on the plaza of the performing arts center, the memorial is a tribute to Jane’s commitment to students and well as her passion for the arts. The concrete and steel structure is decorative and welcoming, with benches surrounded by beautiful trees and landscaping. Paulsen Architects was honored to have been asked to create a wonderful memorial for Jane, who passed away of cancer during Dr. Rush’s presidency.
