Minnesota State University, Mankato Centennial Student Union Renovation

The expansion and renovation of the Centennial Student Union (CSU) is nothing short of a stunning and distinguished new gateway for Minnesota State University, Mankato. Over one-third of this thirty-year old facility has been completely renovated, reshaped and renewed. The project features a new 80’ long glass curtain wall, a two and half story glass enclosed student lounge/hearth room, a locally-quarried limestone wall and a 16’ fireplace. A dynamic three-story glass enclosed grand staircase serves as a connection to the third level. The new CSU is no longer dark and cramped, but colorful, airy and filled with connections to the entire campus. This project also included major renovations to the kitchen and dining areas of the student union, allowing the University to better accommodate a their growing student population.
