Bethany Lutheran College - Rudolph E. Honsey Hall

Mankato, MN

Occupying a prominent campus location at the corner of Marsh and Divisions streets is the new 66,000 square foot Rudolph E. Honsey Hall. This academic building houses the communication, humanities, social and behavioral sciences and religion departments of Bethany Lutheran College, a private, residential, liberal arts college overlooking the Minnesota River valley. The design, completed in association with Perkins+Will, features large glass towers on opposite corners of the building, to create a welcoming entry to not only the building, but also as a gateway into the campus. Some of the new state-of-the-art audio and visual classrooms for the college’s highly regarded communications department were designed to complement hands-on student involvement in the production of regional video and radio programs.
