Mankato National Guard Training and Community Center

When the existing downtown-Mankato facilities for the National Guard Armory became obsolete and cramped, they collaborated with the City of Mankato and Blue Earth County to build a new facility on the Hilltop area of Mankato.

The city and county gained additional recreation and training spaces, shared with the National Guard.  The Guard, through this partnership, has a more comprehensive facility to meet the needs of its unit and greater community.

The new site houses administrative offices, assembly/drill hall, community gymnasium/recreation space, kitchen, locker rooms, unit storage, arms vault, vehicle maintenance/service area, and a separate vehicle storage building.
