Immanuel St. Joseph's Mayo Health System Madison East Center

Mankato, MN

This 29,400 square foot facility in the Madison East Mall houses Immanuel St. Joseph's-Mayo Health System's (ISJ) Community Health Services. By relocating into a large unused retail space, ISJ was able to free up valuable space at their main campus, while providing key departments much needed room to grow. The space is now home to the following departments: Home Health Care, Home Medical Equipment & Services, Hospice, & Maternal Child Health, Human Resources, Physical Medicine including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Outpatient Psychiatry. The revamped space also houses their human resources department, a print shop and an education wing. A large fitness center is the showpiece with an expansive glass wall and natural light providing physical therapy patients with a health club-like atmosphere. The space was also designed to be as eco-friendly as possible. The interior was designed with long-term expansion in mind to reduce the need for demolition, and green materials, such as linoleum tile were used.
